Our first boy arrived with us in October 2017, a kaninchen Black and Tan miracle, aptly named “yet another miracle from the Myshkin House”, although as that is a real mouthful, we call him “Makar”. Born 13 September 2016, he moved to us at 13 months old in October 2017 and already Russian Junior Champion.
Bred by Yulia Chalova, his mother is O Prelestnaya Infanta iz Mishkinogo Doma and his father is Zvezdulkin iz Mishkinogo Doma. Both are Yulia’s breeding but also have Marika Stanovoi’s Dachshaus breeding as well, going back on both sides to Pink Emotion Dachshaus. There are many UK, American and Canadian champions in his pedigree, as well as Russian and international champions.
Since October 2017 when he received his Russian Junior Championship, Makar also qualified for Junior Championships in Croatia, Belgium, Holland and WUT; he was BOB 4x , Best Male 14x and acquired 9x CACIB/9x RCACIB and 14x CAC/7x RCAC showing in his first six months as an adult. This kept on throughout his show career, he was retired until becoming a Veteran in August 2021.
During 2018-2021, Makar became champion of the Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina; also Grand Champion of Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. He qualified for Crufts multiple times in every year he showed. He is FCI International Champion CIE.
He is Zagreb Winner ’17, Amsterdam Winner ’17, Amsterdam Junior Winner ’17, Brussels Winner ’17, Belgian Winner ’17, Golden Winner ’18 and World Dog Show Class Winner (CW) ’18, Zagreb Winner ‘18 and the list goes on. Multi-Winner as well as Multi-Champion.
He has a lovely temperament and is a real charmer at home and at shows. He is easygoing and listens – most of the time – but is an eager hunter just like all the girls and loves nothing more than following a scent in our field in Czechia or out in the woods. He has done his working trials and passed (although just).
Makar is the father of our “C”, “D”, “E”, “F” and “H” litters and has also fathered several litters outside the MandalaDax family. Many of his progeny have gone on to become champions. His daughter Drama (from Yestie as well and sister to our Dreamer) was Best in Show at the Nederlandse Teckel Club Championship Match in held in August 2021, Drama is owned by Coby Satter-Mol and her daughter (Makar and Yestie’s granddaughter) is living at MandalaDax, young Dramatic Martini Uut de Slikhoek.
Makar was third in the Junior Class at World Dog Show November 2017, in Leipzig, Germany, shown by his breeder Yulia Chalova.
Makar winning Belgian Junior Winner, Best Junior, Best Male and Best of Breed at the Brussels Dog Show, December 2017, qualifying for Crufts 2018 as well. He also closed his Belgian Junior Championship on the day.
Makar winning Best Opposite Sex at the Ambiorixtrofee Show, Genk, February 2018 and his second Belgian CAC towards an adult championship.
Makar closing his Dutch Junior Championship at the Groningen Martini Dog Show, Best Opposite Sex and Best Junior.
