Every once in a while, you try out an app and think it is amazing. This is Dreamscope, and I look forward to using it many more times. I think this makes such an artistic version of Yestie at World Dog Show!

Yestie in Moscow
At the end of June, Yestie (Ch HR, Ch EE, Ch BE, Int Ch/CIB Dachshaus Yesterday, KS) and I went to Moscow for the World Dog Show. We stayed with our good friend Yulia Chalova (breeder of my sweetie Kina) and had two marvellous days at the dog show – and several wonderful days sightseeing. I could not believe I was standing in Red Square! It was a wonderful time. Yulia’s good friend Irina Sazonova took super photos of us in the ring. I love this one of Yestie and me, have never been so happy to be placed third in my life!

Star is back home!
The Puppies
The girls are now all 9 months old. Rox (MandalaDax Atomic Rockette) is the funniest pup imaginable, full of all sorts of funny faces, funny sounds and just loving every moment of life. Star (MandalaDax Absolute Star) is the elegant one, always careful not to get her paws too muddy, but still wanting cuddles and to be “in” on everything. Peony (MandaDax Antique Peony) is the pinball, careening around everywhere, checking out everything, and always the first to leap up into my lap as soon as I sit down. The three would keep anyone busy….and with their six older pack mates, it is a busy household here.
This is the girls when they were four months old in early March, right before Star went off to the UK for four months. Whilst she was there, she qualified twice for Crufts (we will go with her next March). Somehow destiny wanted her to stay with us, so in July she came back home to live with us.
We will post a few photos so to catch everyone up with the girls’ lives. It has been a busy 9 months and I didn’t have the energy to keep this blog up to date. But we really do want to do this!! It gives us a chance to go through our favourite photos.

My Girls
The photos I love of Yestie and me
I have been lucky to have several photos I really like of Yestie and me from shows the last months. She has been such a joy to show. I can feel that I am so more relaxed showing her now than I was when she came home with me in September as a two year old Daxi who had never been in the ring. We are growing together. And really looking forward to Crufts in March!
These photos are in the order of the shows (Zagreb, Holland Cup, Holland Winner, Hageland Kerstshow, Genk). I am so grateful to have Dachshaus Yesterday to show, she is the sweetest girl you could ever imagine.
We just spent two weeks travelling to the UK together for my work, she was my constant companion and was no trouble at all!
Blogging the MandalaDax Story
We have had a wonderful time in 2014, showing and travelling in the Yellow Van.
In 2015, we hope to do a lot more of it.
Our first trip was to Genk in Belgium, with just Mady and me. We had a great time and some great results, with Mady’s boy getting his Belgian Junior Championship and Best Junior in Breed and Yestie as Best of Breed and 3rd in Group.
This weekend we are off to Mouscron, with the usual group of Claudia, Kay, Mady and myself.
But this isn’t just about us showing – it is also about our travels and of course the dogs!
In January I did an absolutely lovely trip to bring two sweet Dachshunds from the Dachshaus Kennels (where my Tolka and Yestie are from) to new owners in the UK. As a result, we travelled through the Lake District on our trip up North and right past Stonehenge on our trip to the West Country.
Last year we did almost 40,000 kilometres in the Yellow Van, and we have started this year with almost 3,000 kilometres in January so far – Czech Republic to Holland to the UK and back and a trip to Belgium.
I hope to spend more time blogging about what we have seen and done – and what lovely Dachshund things we have found, than about how we have done in shows. But all of it comes together in the love I have for these dogs.
