Bombur joined us in June 2023, we drove to his breeder in Czechia on the way to our shows in Umag, Croatia. Bombur was born 28th February 2023, his dad is Kirota’s Bruno (bred by our friend Maja Rasic) and his mom is Jessy Star Moravia (owned by his breeder Jiri Stoksa).
Bombur is a “European-style standard”, meaning he has more ground clearance than his UK counterparts. His mom Jessy is a very accomplished huntress, mostly hunting wild boar in Czechia. His dad Bruno also has his working certificate but mostly runs in the forest for exercise, not to hunt. I believe he will look a great deal like his parents when he is grown – but at the moment he mostly resembles a very gangly and awkward teenager at 5 months old!
In his only show in Umag at 3.5 months old, he got a great critique from a breed specialist and was Best Minor Puppy. We went into Best Baby in show… and right back out, but we had fun and it was only his second day with me. We have plenty of time now to get to know each other and I hope to show him in Puppy class in the Autumn when he is six months old.
